Hopea 22/231 was born on the 27th of June as a twin with a birthweight of 6.2kg. He is sired by Hopea 20/S28 who is a high muscle animal with a moderate frame and is out of an Advancer ewe who was an ET lamb by Advancer 06/777 who himself is a grandson of Meikleson "Mighty Man".
231 is a fantastic individual who carries himself well and is full of meat, he is upstanding and has a great hindquarter and twist. 231 has done very well at shows being shown at both Bendigo where he came third and Hamilton where he came second and always in the born before June 30 class which is usually one of the bigger classes. His twin sister is also in our show team and placed third in the pair of ewes at Bendigo.He also came third in the group of three rams class at Hamilton. He has been genomics tested and his sire is DNA Verified, he is also free of spider syndrome.
Hopea 22/292 was born on the 6th of July as a single with a birthweight of 5.7kg. He is again sired by Hopea 20/S28 who is a high muscle animal with a moderate frame and is out of an Kerangie 18/531 who was purchased from the Kerangie Dispersal for $1400 and she goes back to Glencraig and Burwood bloodlines.
292 is a moderate framed ram who has fantastic muscle, he is a shapey ram who is good on his feet and a has a great suffolk head. 292 has great set of data having a PEMD of 2.38, positive fat of 0.11 and being in the top 5% for SHEARF5 at -2.08 . 292 has also done very well at shows being shown at both Bendigo where he came third and Hamilton where he came second in the pair of rams class with Hopea 22/304, He also came third in the group of three rams at Hamilton. He has been genomics tested and his sire is DNA Verified, he is also free of spider syndrome.
Hopea 22/304 was born on the 7th of July as a triplet with a birthweight of 3.7kg. He is sired by Kerangie "Andy" who was purchased from the Kerangie Dispersal and was a barrel of a ram with fantastic type which he has thrown to his progeny. His dam was purchased from the Ashley Park dispersal for $2,800 with twin ewes at foot.
304 is an absolute tank of a ram, a smaller moderate framed animal who has carcase in spades, he has fantastic muscling through his hindquarter and twist and has great presence, a very good ram for producing early maturing suckers. 304 has also been shown at both Bendigo where he came third and Hamilton where he came second in the pair of rams class with Hopea 22/292, He also came third in the group of three rams at Hamilton. He has been genomics tested and his sire is DNA Verified, he is also free of spider syndrome.
Hopea 22/216 was born on the 20th of June as a triplet with a birthweight of 4.5kg. She is sired by Hopea 20/S28 who has bred some top animals with fantastic carcase traits. Her dam raised and reared her triplets as a maiden, she is a daughter of "Everest" who has consistently bred top daughters. She also goes back to top older Oakwood genetics on the dam side.
216 is a very eye appealing ewe, she has a fantastic head and a neat carcase, and is great on her feet, another safe breeding ewe.
Hopea 22/207 was born on the 17th of June as a twin with a birthweight of 5.3kg. She is sired by Hopea 20/S28 who has bred some top animals with fantastic carcase traits. Her dam was purchased from the Kerangie dispersal for $1,400. Her twin sister is also in the show team and is to be retained.
207 is a neat, classy ewe that carries herself well and has a great spring of rib, she is a well bred ewe that will breed on.
